Greetings and welcome to Clayton, North Carolina – home of the Chi Xi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.!

Since its inception in 2009, the Chi Xi Zeta Chapter has strived to, and continues to build its presence in the Clayton community. Chi Xi Zeta has participated in numerous community service events and partnered with many organizations to better serve the county. Some of these partnerships include Harbor Inc. and the Clayton Center for Active Aging. We also connect with and support the youth with our Read into the Future Book Scholarship. To date, Chi Xi Zeta has awarded over $5,000 in book scholarships to high school seniors and college freshman residing in and around the Johnston County area. To commemorate our 10-year anniversary, we were honored to have the Mayor of Clayton to proclaim June 7, 2019 as Chi Xi Zeta Day! Since becoming a member of this illustrious organization in the Spring of 2005 through the Lambda Beta Chapter on the campus of Jackson State University, I have been blessed to cross paths with Zetas from all walks of life. When I joined Chi Xi Zeta in 2012, I immediately felt at home.

Dear members, friends, and visitors,

It is with enthusiasm and excitement that I welcome you to the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Chi Xi Zeta chapter website. I am honored and humbled to serve as the chapter’s president during this momentous and extraordinary time when we recognized the chapter’s 10th year of service to the Johnston County community in June 2019, and we commemorate the sorority’s 100th anniversary throughout the year in 2020. These epic periods are filled with celebration and reflection as we revel in past achievements and anticipate future opportunities.

Over the past 10 years, the members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Chi Xi Zeta chapter have partnered with numerous organizations to support the citizens of Johnston County, including the American Cancer Society, Clayton Center for Active Aging, Greater Raleigh Area NPHC, Harbor, Inc., Johnson Community Health, Johnston County NAACP, March of Dimes, NC MedAssist, St. Jude, The Enhancement Center, and the Town of Clayton. Since 2009, Chi Xi Zeta has provided book scholarships and care packages annually to support students in transition from high school to college. The chapter also has provided support to students in primary grades through donations of back-to-school supplies. Other service initiatives have included support to victims of domestic violence, the elderly, cancer survivors, and citizens in recovery from substance abuse.

As we begin a new decade, Chi Xi Zeta will continue to support the ideals and international program initiatives of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. It’s through the efforts of its dynamic membership of professional women, who are leaders in their respective fields, that Chi Xi Zeta will accomplish its mission, which is to inspire and empower the Johnston County community, with a focus on seniors, youth and women, by removing barriers and supporting the fulfillment of citizens’ basic needs.
